About Me

Hi, I'm Jenn. I grew up in Minnesota but settled in Delaware in 1999, though Minnesota is still a big part of who I am. My Anishinaabe heritage is always with me, especially in my jewelry. That connection to my roots, tradition, and meaning shapes almost everything I make.

Whispering Earth Designs grew out of something I couldn't quite explain at first…a pull toward making things with my hands, finding meaning in the process, and building a little something that was mine. What started as a creative outlet became something more: a love for handmade goods, slow craft, and creating pieces with real intention.

I work across many mediums such as sublimation, vinyl, beading, sewing, and leather (although still learning on this one!), creating customized pieces made with intention and meant to mean something to the person who has them. Every order is personal to me, because that's just how I'm wired.

When I'm not picking vinyl off everything I own, I'm surrounded by the people and creatures who keep me going — my husband Josh, my two sons (who have earned their nicknames Wild Child and Krazy Kid, trust me), Freya, our big goofy Goldendoodle, and Loki, the one year old dumpster cat who is fully feral in his own way. They're my support system, my sounding board, and my biggest cheerleaders.

I recharge with books, dirt therapy, and a camera in my hand, capturing whatever catches my eye. And on a clear night, you'll find me outside staring up. There's nothing quite like a sky full of stars when the world goes quiet.
